This is an internal campaign developed for Rogers Small Business division. The goal of the campaign was to increase Sales Reps’ knowledge of their products and increase “Sales Leads” through the Salesforce platform. To achieve this, gameification was used to make the learning process fun, compelling and to foster a sense of competition among the Sales Reps.
Players created their own avatars with the goal of progressing up the Rogers Tower, defeating other NPCs along the way, eventually reaching the CEO's office. On each uniquely themed floor players would encounter NPCs asking a series of multiple-choice questions about specific Rogers Small Business products, culminating in a Boss battle every week!
The game integrated directly with the Salesforce software. Based on the number of correct answers, players would get a score that would be multiplied by the number of “Sales Leads” they generated. Players could track scores on a communal leaderboard. Each week, the players with the highest scores won great prizes and rewards!
The game’s visual style was developed with more than a little reverence for vintage 8-bit games from the 80s. The playful style, funny animations and character models added another layer of humour to the other wise dry experence of learning about products.
