A poster for the traveling exhibition of the Canadian Collection of Kinetic Art held at the Art Gallery of Ontario. The poster’s purpose was to develop interest and attendance for the exhibit. The brief described that the poster must evoke the essence of kinetic art without actually depicting pieces from the exhibit. To this end a grid comprised of several bisected squares was created. Self-imposed restrictions included only using this repeated grid in various colour combinations and scale variations. The resulting product gave the impression of motion by creating the illusion of a three dimensional structure.
